Privacy Policy

Nearly Dev ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information through websites, applications, and services that link to it (collectively, the "Services").

Information we handle

Information you provide

When you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. Please do not include sensitive personal information in a general inquiry.

If a Nearly Dev application collects information, the relevant data and collection method will be described in Product-specific disclosures below before that application is publicly released.

Website and security information

Our website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device characteristics, request details, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and operate Turnstile.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and performance. We do not use this website for behavioural advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

How we use information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • respond to inquiries;
  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services;
  • understand aggregate website performance;
  • meet legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations; and
  • protect our rights, users, and Services from misuse.

We will seek consent before using personal information for a materially different purpose unless applicable law permits or requires the use.

Service providers and disclosure

We use service providers, including Cloudflare and our email provider, to operate the website, prevent abuse, deliver contact messages, and provide aggregate analytics. They may process information on our behalf under their own contractual and legal obligations. We require service providers handling personal information for us to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, protect rights or safety, investigate misuse, or complete a corporate transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws. We use reasonable contractual, organizational, and technical measures to protect information under our control.

Retention and deletion

We retain contact inquiries for up to 12 months after the last interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, regulatory, security, dispute-resolution, or recordkeeping purposes. We then delete or anonymize the information using reasonable measures.

Technical and security records maintained by our service providers are retained according to the relevant service configuration and provider retention schedules. Product-specific retention and deletion practices will be stated below when applicable.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to:

  • explain whether we hold personal information about you and how it has been used or disclosed;
  • provide access to that information;
  • correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions; or
  • delete information that we are not required to retain.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. To make a request or raise a privacy concern, contact our Privacy Officer at privacy [at] nearly [dot] dev.

Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

The company website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. Any application intended for children will include product-specific practices and appropriate safeguards before release.

Product-specific disclosures

No Nearly Dev application is currently publicly released. Before an application links to this policy, this section will identify its data types, sources, purposes, permissions, service providers and SDKs, retention and deletion practices, tracking practices, and available user controls.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our Services or practices change. We will publish the revised policy here. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice or seek consent when required.
